The Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) has officially parted ways with head coach Félix Dalmas. The decision comes in the aftermath of Cambodia’s exit from the second-round qualifiers for the AFC Asian Cup 2027. Félix Dalmas was reappointed as the head coach of the Cambodia national football team in March 2023. This marked his second stint with the team after having previously coached Cambodia alongside Keisuke Honda between 2018 and 2020.
Koji Gyotoku Steps In as Interim Head Coach
In response to the growing need for change, the FFC moved swiftly to appoint Koji Gyotoku as the interim head coach. The 59-year-old Japanese coach brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously been involved with the Bati Academy and Cambodian youth teams. Gyotoku is no stranger to Cambodian football and is seen as a figure capable of instilling discipline and structure within the squad.
